The Daile Theatre is the biggest drama theatre in Latvia and is in its 95th year.

 

The approach of this great anniversary was the impulse to take a new direction in the development of international relations and so, last season, the Daile Theatre Performance Parade was founded.

 

The first showcase, in Spring of 2015, included 17 performances that had attracted recognition from audiences and professionals alike. Whilst the target audience of the showcase is essentially local and international theatre professionals, everyone with an interest is most welcome.

 

This season, the showcase will present four productions on each of its three stages – the Main Hall, the Small Hall and the Chamber hall. During the showcase week, audiences will be offered a number of additional special events.

 

The main goal of The Daile Theatre Showcase is to garner appraisal and advice, suggestions for future activities as well as fostering fruitful dialogue about current themes in theatre amongst theatre professionals.
