AIJA AFTER JAUNSUDRABINS /A Performance In 2 Acts/

Premiere: I October, 2010

This well-known story about the impetuous Aija and the men in her life, in this theatrical version by Regnārs Vaivars, turns into a tale about a human quest for joy and love.

It’s also about the value system of a society where family values are no longer a realistic life model. The usual traditional values change, but the eternal flash points of human relationships remain the same.

Three people who are trying to finally start new lives, in the end, end up at point zero – on the border, from which no return is possible.

The performance has been staged as a presentation of studies – there is a plenty of action and a minimum of text.
