When Basil Hallward paints a portrait of the handsome, innocent young man Dorian Gray, the result shocks not only both of them, but also their cynical friend Lord Henry Wotton. The ideal image of himself embodied on the canvas prompts Dorian to wish to remain forever young and for the portrait to age instead of him. He will eventually conquer the world, but lose his soul. Eternal youth, never ending passions, mysterious and refined pleasures, mind-blowing joys and events even more eccentric await Dorian. His portrait will carry the weight of his shame and disgrace instead of him.

Destiny has prepared exclusive joys and extraordinary suffering for all of them. One must pay a high price for everything – the wealth, the art and the beauty. The time has come to choose how to live. But perhaps the choice has already been made...
